Knock Off Wood

A friend at work introduced me to this site - its called Knock off Wood, and is essentially one woman who lives up in Alaska somewhere, knocking off Pottery Barn designs and breaking them down into step by step instructions to walk you through building furniture yourself.

She's so popular, she even got a letter from Pottery Barn telling her she couldn't use their brand names in her designs.

I'm dreaming of building some of these pieces on maternity leave...perhaps a bit ambitious, but we'll see what kind of baby we get (fingers crossed its like me and sleeps through the night at 5/6 weeks!)

-An upholstered headboard for our room (we're still just a mattress on a metal frame)

-A storage/entertainment unit for downstairs
