Happy Monday trip to Stratford

Mike had a happy Monday (he gets every third Monday off b/c he works an extra 1/2 hour each day) so we decided to head to Stratford for a little day trip. Unfortunately 2 of the shops that we wanted to visit were closed -- apparently Monday is a slow day. It was great to get out of the house and walk around like tourists for a day.

Cohen showed his enthusiasm for Stratford by being awake for a grand total of perhaps an hour out of the 5 that we spent there

The storm front coming across the lake. It was unreal how fast it moved

The whole clan golfing - - and the only way to golf - with carts and playing best ball. I maintain that I will not golf any other way!

Ottawa!

The famous Byward Market -
there were some brave vendors already set up outside even though it was below freezing!

Pretty self explanatory shot...

The library in the Parliament building -
the only part of the building that survived the great fire in some year way back when -

Our Visit to Beautiful B.C!

Mike and I had the awesome opportunity to fly to B.C to visit family and friends - our first stop was the bustling city of White Rock - Paul and Danielle's residence. Here we are at the 'tourist trap' - the actual white rock. Clearly we thought it was pretty cool

A nice stop at a state park in Washington

The happy family - we had so much fun with these three - it truly was an awesome vacation!

Chicago!

This past weekend, Mike and I got the chance to take off on our first trip since our honeymoon and get away to the bustling city of Chicago. Our hotel was a block from the Magnificent Mile and had stunning views of the river meeting the lake! We had 2 action packed days in Chicago - walking everywhere, shopping, catching a Christmas performance of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and taking a stroll through the Art Institute! It was a well needed break after finishing up work and school.

The view from our hotel room - right before the storm came in on Saturday - we braved the snow and shopped the Magnificent Mile all day - and by shopped, I mean gawked at the ridiculous prices and designer stores
