Month 5

You're grabbing toys and putting them into your mouth ... this seems to have shown up overnight. It's amazing to watch your hand eye coordination develop. What this means for us is that every toy that you own is now covered in goober, and very very slippery.

You absolutely love gnawing on your hands, and you've found your thumb a couple of times. You didn't seem to get that you can suck your thumb and achieve the same effect as a soother until the end of this month. You still prefer your soother though

You're getting chuuunky. Your dad swears that if he doesn't see you for a day, that you look bigger. You are busting out of your clothes, and more and more sleepers and onesies are getting packed away.

You can see us from across a room and give us big smiles

You are a giggle machine -- your feet are tickly, and you love being flown in the air

You travelled on a plane for the second time in your short life -- this time to Houston to your Uncle Aaron and Auntie Paige's house for the Okkema Christmas.

You visited your Oma Fluit and Oma and Opa Kraay. You decided that it would be rather endearing to blow your diaper at both of their houses.

You experienced your first snow storm and we got to spend 3 days with dad at home. We plunked you in the snow to take some photos ... not so sure how you like the cold snow!

You started eating solid food -- some mashed potato (not a hit), bananas and avocados (loved them!).

You started swimming lessons and love the water, even when mom dunked you under

Bottom line for this month .... you are getting far too old, far too fast!
